Hatsune Miku
Miku Hatsune, meaning "The first sound from the future," is a voice synthesizer featured in over 100,000 songs released worldwide, and is represented by a 16-year-old girl anime character. Since starting her career in 2007, the character of Miku opened for Lady Gaga during the 2014 ArtPop tour, did a "Happy" remix with Pharrell Williams, and served as a muse for designers like Marc Jacobs and Riccardo Tisci in 2016. This book looks at why people are attracted to Miku, what the future of Japanese otaku culture looks like, and more. It comes with an originally designed poster and rubber strap.
