Continuing from Legends Of The Moon and Legends Of The Rainbow, this illustration is the next in the series, which brings together several legends of the Sun: Helios, the Greek god who usually drives a golden chariot everyday from east to west; Xihe, the Chinese deity and mother of the 10 suns who take the form of three-legged crows and reside in a mulberry tree; Sól (Sunna), the Norse goddess who rides a chariot drawn by two horses across the sky while being chased by a wolf that seeks to devour her.
